Margret Edda Gnarr, 24 years old, became the Icelandic champion in Taekwondo yesterday. She competed against the Nordic Champion of Iceland, Ingibjorg Erla, who landed in second place. Margret Edda was also selected the best female competitor of the tournament. Margret is the daughter of Jon Gnarr, the mayor of Reykjavik.

Few people expected her to win. "I feel incredibly good. I can hardly believe that I won. Many others also did not expect me to do so well and that makes the victory even sweeter." said Margret Edda about the victory.
